The Browns

My favorite paintings are of babies and children. I was so excited when I got this order from my sweet friend's husband to paint their four ADORABLE kids. They turned out so great and sat on my shelf for nearly two months. It was so hard to keep it a secret but it was worth the wait because she was so thrilled with them!

The Justice Family

A sweet friend from collage asked me to do a (HUGE!) painting of her and her family for Christmas. It took several different photo options before I realized what I was going to have to do...use five DIFFERENT individual photos to create ONE family portrait. I was very pleased with the outcome and also pretty thrilled about the brown shades + tones that were used!

Like Father Like Daughter

So I may have taken a 15 month break from posting, but I'm still painting! Since graduating college and moving to Los Angeles I've been a pretty busy lady...but no worries! I'm coming home to KY for a while to just jump start my health, paint, and honestly just do a whole lot of nothing. :)

I will be taking orders again as soon as I return home and I will be reminding you all until then!

I painted this for my Pops TWO (oops) birthdays ago. He might kill me but from the minute he ripped off the wrapping that man didn't stop crying the entire night! Haha! Love him so so much and I was so happy that he loved his present (and me!)!

Finally A Painting Of My Own!

Finally I found the time to paint for myself! Sure, I have painted a few last minute pieces for my apartment before, but I finally spent some time to create a Kelsi Brown original of my own! I had this HUGE 36" x 48" canvas that my mom had purchased for me months ago. It had been sitting against my wall blank and lonely until I finally found inspiration for a painting!

Most of you know that I am obsessed with shoes, especially Jeffrey Campbell's. Inspired by my new Christmas shoes and a JC ad I saw earlier in December, I quickly started my new creation for my poor little blank wall in my living room!

Ohio State fans, anyone?

My friend Brent requested this painting and I was hesitant at first. I normally do portraits of 3 people or less. He sent me this picture and I wasn't sure about the SEVERAL football players I'd be painting. I played with picture some and cropped it and ended up with a decent amount of players in a pretty neat composition. He liked it and I agreed to it! It took me about 5 months to finish this 2 foot by 4 foot painting but only because he caught me at a bad time where I was already starting my Christmas orders. I like the way the painting turned out. The image he sent to me originally was pretty small so it was a challenge for me to say the least. However, I think the more simplistic features and details give the painting somewhat of an abstract feel but at the same time you know exactly what it is! I love it! I'm going to deliver it to him sometime this week but so far he is pleased with the pictures! I am counting the days until someone requests a UK painting from me. I have a feeling I won't be counting too long! :)

A LOT of you guys are always asking about my prices. Normally after a consult, I will give the customer a price according to order. Since all of my paintings are mainly custom orders it's hard to give a set price to everyone. HOWEVER, I have been sticking with this standard chart for most of my orders. NOTE that these are just my most popular standard sizes.

*All prices start out according to number of people in painting. Each additional person (after 1) is an additional $25.

*Any color used in a portrait is also an additional $25

Again, these are only my standard canvases that I always have in stock. Any size canvas you have in mind or find can be used and I will charge accordingly.

Luke Sexton

This painting is especially close to my heart. A couple from my hometown recently lost their newborn son, Luke, due to heart complications. I followed their journey from her pregnancy to their loss on their blog. Luke touched me and inspired me. Just knowing I brought a smile to their faces really makes my life. R.I.P. baby Luke.
